To provide an abduction-type rotary electric machine which prevents entry of dust and water drops and has improved cooling performance.SOLUTION: An abduction-type rotary electric machine includes: a stator having a plurality of slots and a coil wound on each of the slots; a rotator rotatably held in a radial direction of the stator at a predetermined gap relative to the stator; a stator frame holding the stator; a rotator frame holding the rotator; and an end board fixed in an axial longitudinal direction to the end of the rotator. An opening is formed between the rotator frame and the stator frame.
