Summary:To suppress the leakage of an electrolyte and the reduction in the airtightness due to the rise of the internal pressure in an electrolytic capacitor.SOLUTION: An electronic component comprises: a capacitor element in which a lead is connected to each of anode foil and cathode foil and the anode foil and the cathode foil are wound via a separator; a bottomed cylindrical storage container which stores the capacitor element; and an elastic sealing body which seals the opening end of the storage container. The elastic sealing body comprises: a through hole which penetrates between the inner surface facing the internal space of the storage container and the outer surface being in the front-back relation with respect to the inner surface and to which the lead drawn out from the capacitor element is inserted; and an inclined surface which is formed on the inner surface and on which the thickness of the elastic sealing body becomes thicker as heading toward the central section of the inner surface.
