Summary:To prevent power from being supplied to a load during diagnosis of an output circuit.SOLUTION: The output module 3 of a PLC 1 includes: an output circuit 5 that opens/closes between a power supply terminal P1 to which a power supply voltage Va is supplied and an output terminal P2 that is connected to a solenoid 4; and a control unit 6 that controls an operation of the output circuit 5. The output circuit 5 includes: switches SWH, SWL connected in series between the power supply terminal P1 and the output terminal P2; and a current output unit 7 capable of performing an operation of short-circuiting the terminals of the switch SWH and causing a limited current equal to or less than a predetermined off-current to flow through a short-circuited path.
