To provide a length measuring apparatus capable of accurately positioning a cutting blade of a cutting device at a desired cutting angle position.SOLUTION: A length measuring apparatus 1 which is used in combination with a cutting device having a cutting blade and which measures the length of a workpiece to be cut by the cutting blade comprises: a slide rail 13 that is fixed relatively to the cutting device during length measurement; and a slide part 20 that is slidably installed to the slide rail 13, and that has a slide body 21, a length measuring instrument 60 for measuring a slide distance of the slide body 21 with respect to the slide rail 13, and an arm member 30 in contact with the workpiece mounted on a cutting position.
