Summary:To provide an intake device for an engine, which can suppress excessive cooling of EGR gas.SOLUTION: An intake device 500 includes an intake passage 20, an EGR passage 41, and an EGR cooler 42. In the intake device, the intake passage 20 is provided with a lateral intake passage portion 325 that is provided on one side of an engine body 1 in a vehicle width direction. The EGR passage 41 is provided with a downstream-side EGR passage portion 341 that is provided on the one side of the engine body 1 in the vehicle width direction by dividing the EGR passage 41 on a downstream side of the EGR cooler 42.
