Summary:To provide a pellet sorting method that can more reliably sort a non-magnetic pellet from a magnetic pellet, and a pellet manufacturing method.SOLUTION: There is provided a pellet sorting method for sorting a pellet of polybutylene terephthalate resin for electronic components, the method sorts a resin pellet including a magnetic material from a resin pellet not including a magnetic material by using a belt type magnet roll separator, in which the resin pellet is polybutylene terephthalate resin pellet; as the resin pellet, an elliptical columnar pellet having an elliptical cross section with a ratio of a major axis and a minor axis (major axis/minor axis) of 1.2 to 2.0 and a height of 5 mm or less is used; and sorting is performed by setting a belt tension in a range of 20 to 120 N and a belt speed in a range of 0.30 to 0.90 m/sec.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】非磁性ペレットと磁性ペレットの選別をより確実に行うことができるペレット選別方法及びペレット製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】磁性体入り樹脂ペレットと磁性体を含まない樹脂ペレットをベルト式マグネットロールセパレータを用いて選別する方法であって、前記樹脂ペレットがポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂のペレットであり、前記樹脂ペレットとして、長径と短径の比(長径/短径)が1.2〜2.0の楕円形断面を有し、高さが5mm以下の楕円柱状ペレットを用い、ベルトの張力を20〜120Nの範囲、ベルトの速度を0.30〜0.90m/秒として、選別することを特徴とする電子部品用ポリブチレンテレフタレート樹脂のペレットの選別方法。【選択図】図1
