Summary:To provide an optical receiver that can receive an optical signal with a transmission speed exceeding 1 Gbps even when an optical fiber with a large core diameter is used.SOLUTION: In an optical receiver realized by a limiter amplifier 6 equipped with the function of amplifying the output of a transimpedance amplifier circuit 2 and an optical receiver module 5 composed of a lens barrel 17 equipped with a light receiving element 1 and the transimpedance amplifier circuit 2 and identifying 0 level and 1 level of a digital signal at a predetermined level, an optical receiver 18 that enables high-speed signal transmission of 1 Gbps or more is realized even in a system to which a plastic optical fiber 7 having a core diameter of 980 μm is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】コア径の大きい光ファイバを使った場合にも1Gbpsを超える伝送速度の光信号を受信することができる光受信装置を撮供する。【解決手段】受光素子1とトランスインピーダンス型増幅回路2を搭載したレンズバレル17から構成される光受信モジュール5とトランスインピーダンス型増幅回路2の出力を増幅して、所定のレベルでデジタル信号の0レベル、1レベルを識別する機能を具備したリミッタアンプ6から構成される光受信装置において、コア径980μmのプラスチック光ファイバ7を適用したシステムでも1Gbps以上の高速信号伝送を可能とする光受信装置18を実現する。【選択図】図1
