Summary:To provide a reel holding device capable of improving the area productivity of a component mounting apparatus by setting the distance closer even when the width dimension of a tape feeder is small, and a component supply system.SOLUTION: The reel holding device includes: a reception part 31 for receiving a reel 24 which is wound with a carrier tape containing components; and an attachment 32 that connects the reception part 31 to a tape feeder 21.
