Summary: | To provide a technique concerning a filter molding for a gas generator excellent in filtration effect and cooling effect of combustion gas and, moreover, excellent in shape retaining property and manufacturing easiness than heretofore.SOLUTION: A filter molding for a gas generator includes a circumferential wall part which extends a groove part formed on one place in a circumferential direction of metal wire material having a circular or an elliptical transverse cross-section along a drawing direction of the metal wire material and has a hollow cylinder shape formed of a circumferential surface on a part other than the groove part, a gas flow face which is formed by either one side face of an inner circumferential face and an outer circumferential face of the circumferential wall part and allows gas to inflow to the circumferential wall part and a gas outflow part which is formed by either the other face of the inner circumferential face or the outer circumferential face, and causes gas to outflow from the circumferential wall part. Therein, the groove part is oriented so as to open toward the gas inflow face on the circumferential wall part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
