Summary:To determine the abnormality of a scanned image with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A CPU 114 acquires a first scanned image output from reading units 310a, 310b without passing paper in a state in which an opposing roller 313 is positioned at a first distance La with respect to a contact glass 315. When there is an abnormality in the first scanned image, the CPU 114 determines that there is dust, and acquires a second scanned image output from the reading units 310a, 310b without passing paper in a state in which the opposing roller 313 is positioned at the second distance Lb (La<Lb). Then, the CPU 114 determines whether an image defect factor exists in the contact glass 315 or the opposing roller 313 on the basis of the second scanned image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】読取画像の異常を高精度に判定する。
