Summary:To realize various expressions when drawing a contour line in a prescribed object even with ray tracing having a real-time property.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: means which draws an image with ray tracing processing; means which outputs normal information to a normal buffer at an intersection point between a light beam emitted when the image is drawn and an object in a virtual space; and means which draws a contour line of the object included in the image drawn on the basis of the normal information of the normal buffer. The means which outputs to the normal buffer, in a case where at least one of setting of mirror-reflecting the light and setting of refracting the light is performed to the first object that first intersects the light beam emitted from the sight line, and the secondary light beam emitted by at least one of the mirror reflection and refraction intersects the second object, does not output the normal information to the normal buffer at the intersection point between the secondary light beam and the second object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】リアルタイム性を有するレイトレーシングであっても、所定のオブジェクトに輪郭線を描画する場合、より多様な表現を実現する。【解決手段】レイトレーシング処理により画像を描画する手段と、画像が描画される際に射出されている光線と仮想空間内のオブジェクトとの交差点における法線情報を法線バッファに出力する手段と、法線バッファの法線情報に基づいて描画された画像に含まれるオブジェクトの輪郭線を描画する手段とを備え、法線バッファに出力する手段は、視線から射出された光線と最初に交差した第1のオブジェクトに対して、光を鏡面反射させる設定、および光を屈折させる設定の少なくとも一方がなされていて鏡面反射および屈折の少なくとも一方により射出された2次的な光線が第2のオブジェクトと交差する場合、2次的な光線と第2のオブジェクトとの交差点における法線情報を法線バッファに出力しない。【選択図】図4
