Summary: | To provide a catheter that ensures slidability of a guide wire without adding any steps or changing a material, and to provide a method for manufacturing a catheter.SOLUTION: A catheter includes: an inner layer 24 surrounding a main lumen 20; a reinforcement layer 30 formed of a reinforcement wire 32 and wound so as to be placed in a skew position relative to the main lumen 20; and an outer layer 50 in which the reinforcement layer 30 is embedded and which surrounds the main lumen 20 together with the inner layer 24.
