Summary:To solve the problem that an anti-diffusion layer containing Ti and Al may form a reaction layer of Ti-Sb depending on the operating conditions of the thermoelectric conversion element, and may also form a reaction layer of Al-Sb dispersed in Ti-Sb, in which case cracks may occur starting from Al-Sb.SOLUTION: In order to solve this problem, a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric conversion element includes the following steps: arranging a thermoelectric conversion material containing Co and Sb and a material containing Ni in contact with an Al foil, and sintering them together above the melting point of Al to obtain a sintered body having an anti-diffusion layer containing an alloy of the Al-(Co,Ni) system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】Ti及びAlを含む拡散防止層は、熱電変換素子の使用条件などによりTi−Sbの反応層が生成することがあり、さらにTi−Sb中にAl−Sbが分散した反応層を形成することがあり、この場合に、Al−Sbを起点として、クラックが発生する可能性があることが課題であった。【解決手段】この課題を解決するため、熱電変換素子の製造方法として、Co及びSbを含む熱電変換材料、及び、Niを含む材料を、Al箔に接触させて配置し、Alの融点以上で一体焼結し、Al−(Co,Ni)系の合金を含む拡散防止層を有する焼結体を得る工程、を含むことを特徴とする。【選択図】図2
