To provide an update support system which can support making an update plan allowing for future possible excess or deficiency of water treatment units in a water treatment facility and can support making an update plan considering future transfer of water treatment units between a plurality of water treatment facilities.SOLUTION: An update support system 100 comprises: a unit data storage unit 111 in which first data about types, quantity, and treatment capacities of individually transferable water treatment units included in a water treatment facility 200 is stored; a prediction data storage unit 112 in which second data about prediction of the amount of water to be treated in future by the water treatment facility 200 is stored; a raw water data storage unit 113 in which third data about quality of raw water in the water treatment facility 200 is stored: a prediction unit 121 which predicts types and quantity of water treatment units which will be excess or short in future in the water treatment facility 200, on the basis of the first, second, and third data; and an output unit 122 which outputs a prediction result of the prediction unit 121.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】水処理設備の水処理ユニットの将来に発生し得る過不足を見込んだ更新計画策定を支援でき、将来における複数の水処理設備間での水処理ユニットの移設を考慮した更新計画策定を支援できる更新支援システムを提供する。【解決手段】更新支援システム１００は、個別に移設可能な水処理ユニットを含む水処理設備２００の各水処理ユニットの種類、台数及び処理能力に関する第１データを記憶するユニットデータ記憶部１１１と、水処理設備２００の将来の処理水量の予測に関する第２データを記憶する予測用データ記憶部１１２と、水処理設備２００の原水水質に関する第３データを記憶する原水データ記憶部１１３と、第１、第２及び第３データに基づいて水処理設備２００において将来に過不足となる水処理ユニットの種類及び台数を予測する予測部１２１と、予測部１２１の予測結果を出力する出力部１２２とを備える。【選択図】図１
