Summary: | To provide a compact imaging lens system which offers high resolution and is well corrected for magnification chromatic aberration.SOLUTION: A lens system 100 comprises a first lens group G1 having negative refractive power, an aperture stop ST, and a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power arranged in order from the object side. The first lens group comprises, in order from the object side, a negative lens L11 with a convex object-side surface disposed on the most object side, a negative lens L12 with a convex object-side surface disposed right next to the negative lens, and a cemented triplet TC obtained by cementing a negative lens CL1, a positive lens CL2, and a negative lens CL3 in order from the object side, the cemented triplet having positive refractive power. The lens system satisfies a condition expressed as: 3.6<L/Y<5.5, where L represents an optical axial distance from a most object-side lens surface to an imaging position, and Y represents a maximum image height.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
