Summary:To provide an exhaust gas purification device capable of favorably preventing fracture and a short circuit of a conductive material electrically connected to an electric heating carrier.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purification device comprises: a columnar electric heating carrier 10 which is installed at an upstream side in a flow passage of an exhaust gas; a columnar honeycomb structure 21 which is installed at a downstream side in the flow passage of the exhaust gas with a space from the electric heating carrier; a housing which has a shape of a canned body covering outer peripheries of the electric heating carrier and the columnar honeycomb structure; and a conductive material electrically connected to the outer periphery of the electric heating carrier. The housing has a through hole at a position corresponding to an offset space between the electric heating carrier and the columnar honeycomb structure. The conductive material has an extended section extended from the outer periphery of the electric heating carrier to the position corresponding to the offset space between the electric heating carrier and the columnar honeycomb structure. The extended section is arranged at a position enabling the same to be connected to an electric connection terminal for connection to an external power source when the electric connection terminal is inserted into the housing through the through hole from an outside thereof in a radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】電気加熱式担体に電気的に接続している導電体の破断及び短絡を良好に抑制できる排気ガス浄化装置を提供する。【解決手段】排気ガス浄化装置は、排気ガスの流路の上流側に設けられた柱状の電気加熱式担体10と、排気ガスの流路の下流側に電気加熱式担体と離間して設けられた柱状ハニカム構造体21と、電気加熱式担体及び柱状ハニカム構造体の外周面を覆うように設けられた缶体状のハウジングと、電気加熱式担体の外周面に電気的に接続されている導電体とを備える。ハウジングは、電気加熱式担体と柱状ハニカム構造体との離間位置に対応する部位に貫通孔を有している。導電体は、電気加熱式担体の外周面から、電気加熱式担体と柱状ハニカム構造体との離間位置まで延びる延伸部を有している。延伸部は、外部電源に接続するための電気接続端子をハウジングの外側から貫通孔を介して径方向に挿入した際に、電気接続端子と接続可能な位置に配置されている。【選択図】図1
