To provide a rubber composition capable of achieving both ozone resistance and appearance and to provide a tire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition which is obtained by adding 30 to 70 pts.wt. of an isoprene rubber, 30 to 70 pts.wt. of a butadiene rubber, 1 to 10 pts.wt. of an amine-based antiaging agent based on 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber, a filler satisfying any one of the following 1) to 3) and a surface modifier and comprises a surface modifier in which the content of a primary alcohol in the surface modifier is more than 1.5 pts.wt. and less than 35 pts.wt., the content of a component having 30 to 38 carbon atoms in 100 pts.wt. of the primary alcohol is more than 35 pts.wt., the content of a component having 12 to 26 carbon atoms is less than 25 pts.wt. and the content of a component having 42 to 68 carbon atoms is less than 25 pts.wt. 1) containing 45 pts.wt. of carbon black having an iodine absorption amount of 110 to 148 mg/g and 35 to 55 mg/g, 2) containing less than 45 pts.wt. of a surfactant and 3) more than 50 pts.wt. of carbon black having an iodine absorption amount of 35 to 55 mg/g.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】耐オゾン性及び外観性を両立できるゴム組成物、及びこれを用いたタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】ジエンゴム１００重量部に対し、イソプレン系ゴムを３０〜７０重量部、ブタジエンゴムを３０〜７０重量部、アミン系老化防止剤１〜１０重量部、下記１）〜３）のいずれかを満たす充填剤、および表面改質剤を添加したゴム組成物であり、表面改質剤に占める第一級アルコールの含有量が１．５重量部を超え、３５重量部未満、前記第一級アルコール１００重量部に占めるＣ３０〜３８の成分が３５重量部超、Ｃ１２〜２６の成分が２５重量部未満、Ｃ４２〜６８の成分が２５重量部未満である表面改質剤を含有するゴム組成物。１）ヨウ素吸着量が１１０〜１４８ｍｇ／ｇ及び３５〜５５ｍｇ／ｇのカーボンブラックを含み、４５重量部以下。２）４５重量部未満かつ界面活性剤を含む。３）ヨウ素吸着量が３５〜５５ｍｇ／ｇのカーボンブラックを含み、５０重量部超。【選択図】なし
