Summary: | To provide, by performing dimerization reaction of dimethylketene at a reaction rate (reaction time) suitable for actual production using a low boiling point solvent that is easy to handle in the production process and is generally used as the solvent for dimethylketene, a method for easily producing 2,2,4,4-tetramethylcyclobutane-1,3-dione.SOLUTION: After dissolving dimethylketene in a low boiling point solvent that can be easily removed, by setting the temperature, under pressure, to be equal to or higher than the boiling point at ordinary pressure and lower than or equal to the boiling point of the solvent at the reaction pressure, the dimerization reaction of dimethylketene is accelerated, and the time required for solvent removal can be shortened as compared to high boiling point solvents, and the production in a shorter time than before is possible.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】 製造プロセス上取り扱い容易で汎用な低沸点溶媒をジメチルケテンの溶媒に用いて、実製造に適した反応速度(反応時間)でジメチルケテンの2量化反応を実施することで、容易に2,2,4,4−テトラメチルシクロブタン−1,3−ジオンを製造する方法を提供する。【解決手段】 除去が容易な低沸点溶媒にジメチルケテンを溶解させた後に、加圧下において常圧での沸点以上かつ反応圧力での溶媒の沸点以下の温度とする事で、ジメチルケテンの2量化反応を加速せしめ、かつ高沸点溶媒に比べて溶媒除去に要する時間を短縮でき、従来に比べ短時間での製造を可能とする。【選択図】なし |
