Summary:To provide an optical measurement device and an optical measurement method capable of ensuring the accuracy of determination regarding a sample even when a foreign substance is attached to a lateral flow test piece.SOLUTION: An optical measurement device 1 includes: a measuring unit that irradiates a detection unit 16 of a lateral flow test piece K with measurement light and measures light obtained from the detection unit 16 by irradiating the measurement light; and a determination unit 4 for determining whether a sample held in the lateral flow test piece K is negative or positive based on the comparison between a measured value obtained by the measuring unit and a first threshold value set in advance. When the measured value exceeds the first threshold value after holding the sample in the lateral flow test piece K, the determination unit 4 calculates a difference value between the measured value at the initial stage of measurement and the measured value at the latter stage of measurement, determines that the sample is positive when the difference value exceeds a second threshold value set in advance, and determines that the sample is negative when the difference value is equal to or less than the second threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ラテラルフロー試験片に異物が付着している場合であっても、検体に関する判断の精度を担保できる光学測定装置及び光学測定方法を提供する。【解決手段】光学測定装置1は、ラテラルフロー試験片Kの検出部16に対して測定光を照射し、測定光の照射によって検出部16から得られる光を測定する測定部と、測定部で得られた測定値と予め設定された第1の閾値との比較に基づいて、ラテラルフロー試験片Kに保持した検体が陰性であるか陽性であるかを判断する判断部4と、を備え、判断部4は、ラテラルフロー試験片Kへの検体の保持後、測定値が第1の閾値を超えた場合に測定初期の測定値と測定後期の測定値との間の差分値を算出し、差分値が予め設定された第2の閾値を超えている場合には、検体が陽性であると判断し、差分値が第2の閾値以下である場合には、検体が陰性であると判断する。【選択図】図1
