To provide foamable polystyrene resin particles which maintain good energy-saving property, and enable molding in a wide molding condition while suppressing scratches on a surface of a molding.SOLUTION: Foamable polystyrene resin particles are composed of a base material resin including a styrene unit or a styrene unit and an acrylate unit as a constitutional unit. With respect to 100 pts.wt. of the total content of the styrene unit and the acrylate unit in the base material resin, a content of the styrene unit is 97-100 pts.mass, and a content of the acrylate unit is 0-3 pts.mass. With respect to 100 pts.wt. of the base material resin, specific amounts of a plasticizer having a boiling point of 100°C or higher, a foaming agent and a foaming auxiliary are contained. In the base material resin, a content of the acrylate unit and contents of the plasticizer having the boiling point of 100°C or higher and the foaming auxiliary satisfy a specific expression.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】良好な省エネルギー性を維持し、成形体表面への傷を抑制しつつ、さらに幅広い成形条件での成形を可能にすることに適した発泡性ポリスチレン系樹脂粒子を提供する。【解決手段】構成単位として、スチレン単位、又は、スチレン単位及びアクリル酸エステル単位を含む基材樹脂から構成される発泡性ポリスチレン系樹脂粒子であって、基材樹脂におけるスチレン単位及びアクリル酸エステル単位の合計含有量１００重量部に対して、スチレン単位の含有量は９７〜１００重量部であり、アクリル酸エステル単位の含有量は０〜３重量部であり、基材樹脂１００重量部に対して、沸点が１００℃以上の可塑剤、発泡剤、発泡助剤を特定量含有し、基材樹脂における、アクリル酸エステル単位の含有量、沸点が１００℃以上の可塑剤及び発泡助剤の含有量が、特定の式を満たす。【選択図】なし
