Summary:To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion, capable of easily increasing life, and provide the internal combustion with the same.SOLUTION: A spark plug 1 for an internal combustion, includes: a cylindrical insulator 3; a center electrode 4 held in an inner peripheral side of the cylindrical insulator 3 and projecting a tip end projection part 41 on a tip end side of the cylindrical insulator 3; a cylindrical housing 2 holding the cylindrical insulator 3 in the inner peripheral side; a cover part 5 provided to the tip end part of the housing 2 so as to cover at least one part of the tip end projection part 41; and a ground electrode 6 jointed to the cover part 5. A penetration hole 7 penetrating a sub-combustion chamber 50 with an external part is formed in the cover part 5. The ground electrode 6 is projected to the sub-combustion chamber 50 while being jointed to the inner peripheral surface of the penetration hole 7 in the cover part 5. The ground electrode 6 includes a discharge surface 61 forming a discharge gap G between the center electrode 4 and itself on the penetration hole 7 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】容易に長寿命化を図ることができる、内燃機関用のスパークプラグ及びこれを備えた内燃機関を提供すること。【解決手段】内燃機関用のスパークプラグ1は、筒状の絶縁碍子3と、絶縁碍子3の内周側に保持されると共に絶縁碍子3の先端側に先端突出部41を突出させた中心電極4と、絶縁碍子3を内周側に保持する筒状のハウジング2と、先端突出部41の少なくとも一部を覆うようにハウジング2の先端部に設けられたカバー部5と、カバー部5に接合された接地電極6と、を有する。カバー部5には、副燃焼室50と外部とを連通させる貫通孔7が形成されている。接地電極6は、カバー部5における貫通孔7の内周面に接合されると共に副燃焼室50へ突出している。接地電極6は、貫通孔7側において中心電極4との間に放電ギャップGを形成する放電面61を有する。【選択図】図1
