Summary:To accurately extract a stripe-like defect occurring on a surface of a printing paper including a test pattern.SOLUTION: An inspection device comprises: binary image creation means that creates a binary image; image division means that performs mesh division of an inspection image and the binary image by line element; line element classification means that classifies line elements obtained through the division into any one of a stripe line element, a non-stripe line element, and an invalid line element, based on the number of pieces of background data on the binary images corresponding to the line elements and the luminance on the corresponding inspection images; optimal path extraction means that connects neighborhood connectable line elements to each other to form a path that connects both ends of an image, and selects, at points on one end of the image, an optimal path from among paths having the points as the starting points and including the stripe line elements in a number equal to or more than a predetermined value; path selection means that evaluates the ratio of the stripe line elements included in the optimal path to select the optimal path; and extraction result output means that outputs the selected optimal path as a stripe extraction result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】テストパターンを含む印刷紙面上に生じたスジ状欠陥を高精度に抽出する。【解決手段】二値画像を作成する二値画像作成手段と、検査画像ならびに二値画像を線素単位にメッシュ分割する画像分割手段と、分割により得られた各線素を、当該線素に対応する二値画像上の背景データ数、ならびに対応する検査画像上の輝度に基づいて、スジ線素と非スジ線素と無効線素とのいずれかに分類する線素分類手段と、近傍の接続可能な線素同士を接続することによって、画像の両端を結ぶパスが構成され、画像の一端の各点において、当該点を始点とするパスの中から、スジ線素数を所定値以上含む中から最適パスを選ぶ最適パス抽出手段と、最適パスの中に含まれるスジ線素の割合を評価して最適パスの選択を行うパス選択手段と、選択された最適パスをスジ抽出結果として出力する抽出結果出力手段と、を備える。【選択図】図3
