To provide a method for producing a resin composition which is excellent in self-lubricating property, appearance, flexibility and moldability, especially in self-lubricating property and abrasion resistance under high load.SOLUTION: A method for producing a resin composition (E) includes: a first step of melting and kneading 70-90 pts.mass of polyethylene (B), a modified polyolefin resin (D) and organopolysiloxane when the total of specific ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene (A) and specific low-molecular and high-molecular weight polyethylenes (B) contained in the resin composition (E) is 100 pts.mass, and obtaining a melted and kneaded product (1); a second step of melting and kneading 0.1-5 pts.mass of the polyethylene (A) and 5-29.9 pts.mass of the polyethylene (B), and obtaining a melted and kneaded product (2); and a third step of melting and kneading the melted and kneaded product (1) and the melted and kneaded product (2).SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】自己潤滑性、外観、柔軟性および成形性に優れ、特に高荷重下における自己潤滑性および耐摩耗性に優れた樹脂組成物の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の樹脂組成物（Ｅ）の製造方法は、樹脂組成物（Ｅ）に含まれる特定の超高分子量ポリエチレン（Ａ）と特定の低分子量乃至高分子量ポリエチレン（Ｂ）の合計を１００質量部とした場合、ポリエチレン（Ｂ）７０〜９０質量部と変性ポリオレフィン樹脂（Ｄ）とオルガノポリシロキサンを溶融混錬して溶融混錬物（１）を得る第１の工程；ポリエチレン（Ａ）０．１〜５質量部とポリエチレン（Ｂ）５〜２９．９質量部を溶融混錬して溶融混錬物（２）を得る第２の工程；及び溶融混錬物（１）と溶融混錬物（２）を溶融混錬する第３の工程を含む。【選択図】なし
