Summary:To provide a purification method of tetrahydrofuran, in which a C4 aldehyde contained in crude tetrahydrofuran produced as a byproduct during production of polybutylene terephthalate is separated by distillation.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for purifying crude tetrahydrofuran containing a C4 compound having an aldehyde group, comprising adding to the crude tetrahydrofuran one or more amine compounds selected from aliphatic primary amines and aliphatic secondary amines before or during distillation to convert the C4 compound having an aldehyde group to a high boiling point compound, which is separated by distillation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 ポリブチレンテレフタレート製造時に副生する粗テトラヒドロフラン中に含まれる炭素数４のアルデヒドを蒸留分離する、テトラヒドロフランの精製方法を提供する。【解決手段】 炭素数４のアルデヒド基を有する化合物を含有する粗テトラヒドロフランを精製する方法であって、蒸留前または蒸留時に脂肪族１級アミン、脂肪族２級アミンから選ばれる１種類以上のアミン化合物を前記粗テトラヒドロフランに添加し、前記炭素数４のアルデヒド基を有する化合物を、高沸点化合物に転化し、蒸留分離することを特徴とする。【選択図】 図１
