Summary:To provide a method for manufacturing a printed matter which enables manufacture of a printed matter that suppresses peeling of a peripheral edge part.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a printed matter includes: a step of forming a chromatic color image so that an image area ratio of a peripheral edge part is 20% or less; a step of imparting pressure phase transition particles to a region including the peripheral edge part; a step of bonding the chromatic color image and the pressure phase transition particles to a recording medium; and a step of overlapping and bonding a recording medium pressure-bonded or bonded by folding the bonded recording medium, and other recording medium. The pressure phase transition particles contain a styrenic resin containing styrene and other vinyl monomer as polymerization components, and a (meth)acrylate resin containing at least two (meth)acrylates as polymerization components, in which the (meth)acrylates are 90 mass% or more.
