Summary:To provide an illumination device for an image sensor that enhances uniformity in a primary scanning direction of light emitted from a light guide body, even if a light source is not disposed at a center of an end face of the light guide body.SOLUTION: An illumination device for image sensor 1 includes: at least one light guide body 100A, B provided in a primary scanning direction D1; and a first light source group 210 disposed facing a first end surface 101A and a second light source group 220 disposed facing a second end surface 102A among at least two end surfaces in the primary scanning direction of the at least one light guide body. The first light source group includes a first light source 211 which emits light of a predetermined wavelength band. The second light source group includes a second light source 221 which emits light of the same wavelength band as the light emitted by the first light source.
