To provide a communication wire capable of achieving both the stability of a structure formed having a shield tape provided to the outer periphery of a signal wire and simplicity when forming conduction between the shield tape and a braided shield.SOLUTION: A communication wire 1 comprises: a signal wire 10 including a plurality of insulated wires 11; a shield tape 20 constituted as a tape body having a metal layer 21 on one surface of an insulating base material and facing the metal layer to the outside to cover the outer periphery of the signal wire 10; a pressing and wrapping tape 30 constituted as an insulating tape body and wound around the outside of the shield tape 20; and a braided shield 40 arranged on the outside of the wrapping tape 30. The pressing and wrapping tape 30 is spirally wound around the outer periphery of an assembly obtained by covering the signal wire 10 with the shield tape 20 so as to form a gap G between adjacent turns, and the metal layer of the shield tape 20 is exposed between the adjacent turns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】シールドテープを信号線の外周に設けた構造の安定性と、シールドテープと編組シールドの間の導通形成における簡便性とを両立できる通信用電線を提供する。【解決手段】絶縁電線１１を複数本含む信号線１０と、絶縁性の基材の一方の面に金属層２１を有するテープ体として構成され、前記金属層を外側に向けて、前記信号線１０の外周を被覆するシールドテープ２０と、絶縁性のテープ体として構成され、前記シールドテープ２０の外側に巻き付けられた押さえ巻きテープ３０と、前記押さえ巻きテープ３０の外側に配置された編組シールド４０と、を有し、前記押さえ巻きテープ３０は、前記信号線１０を前記シールドテープ２０で被覆した集合体の外周に、隣接するターン間に間隙Ｇを設けて、螺旋状に巻き付けられており、隣接するターン間に、前記シールドテープ２０の前記金属層を露出させている、通信用電線１とする。【選択図】図１
