Summary:To provide a battery and a manufacturing method of the same, wherein a misalignment of a clip plate with respect to a current collecting tab is suppressed, and a connecting lead is properly connected to the current collecting tab.SOLUTION: The battery includes a group of electrodes, a clip plate, and a connecting lead, the group of electrodes having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a current collecting tab. The clip plate includes a first engagement portion and is attached to the current collecting tab. The connecting lead includes a second engagement portion that can be engaged with the first engagement portion of the clip plate and is connected to the current collecting tab through the clip plate.
