Summary:To provide a manufacturing method for optical fiber ribbons of intermittent type, with which manufacturing lines can be simplified and speeded up, optical fiber ribbons obtained by this manufacturing method, and a guide roller used for this manufacturing method.SOLUTION: An optical fiber ribbon is such that a plurality of optical fiber cores are arranged in parallel, the mutually adjacent optical fiber cores are intermittently connected in the longitudinal direction by a connecting part and a non-connecting part, and the outer circumferential shape of radial cross section of a bonding resin in the non-connecting part is formed in the shape of a circle. The manufacturing process includes the steps of: applying a coating of bonding resin to the periphery of outermost layer of optical fiber cores while optical fiber cores are juxtaposed; pressing the portions of the optical fiber cores that constitute the connecting part against each other; and completely curing the bonding resin.
