Summary:To provide a horizontal shaft submerged pump which transits to an operation mode in which a rating operation is performed while automatically sucking air in accordance with a water level on a suction side.SOLUTION: A horizontal shaft submerged pump comprises: a second suction opening 14 which is provided at the upstream side of an impeller 3 of a horizontal shaft submerged pump 1 and opened at a position higher than an upper end of a first suction opening 8 and in which an upper end of an intake part is a threshold of an air-water mixed drain operation M2 and a drain standby operation M3; and a third suction opening 16 which is opened at a position higher than the upper end of the second suction opening 14 and in which the upper end of the intake part is a threshold of a total drain operation M1 and the air-water mixed drain operation M2. An operation time in the drain standby operation M3 can be shortened while automatically switching to the total drain operation M1, the air-water mixed drain operation M2 and the drain standby operation M3 in accordance with a preset water level, thereby preventing a sudden change of load applied to the horizontal shaft submerged pump.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】 吸込側の水位に応じて自動的に空気を吸気しながら定格運転を行う運転モードに移行する横軸水中ポンプを提供する。【解決手段】 横軸水中ポンプ1の羽根車3よりも上流側に設けられ、第1吸込開口8の上端よりも高い位置に開口し、吸気部の上端が気水混合排水運転M2と排水待機運転M3の閾値である第2吸込開口14と、第2吸込開口14の上端よりも高い位置に開口し、吸気部の上端が全量排水運転M1と気水混合排水運転M2の閾値である第3吸込開口16と、を有するもので、予め設定した水位に応じて全量排水運転M1、気水混合排水運転M2、排水待機運転M3に自動に切り替わりつつ、排水待機運転M3での稼働時間を短くできるもので、横軸水中ポンプにかかる負荷の急変を防止することができる。【選択図】図2
