To provide a snow accretion prevention system for a railroad vehicle capable of continuously monitoring a snow accretion state and easily removing snow accretion only on a required portion without wasting energy such as electric power.SOLUTION: A snow accretion prevention system 10 for a railroad vehicle S includes a snow melting heater device 2, which melts snow or iced snow TS accreted to an inner wall side of a rear wall part 11 positioned in a rear side in a vehicle traveling direction in a carriage skirt part 1, on an outer wall side of the rear wall part 11. The carriage skirt part includes a snow accretion sensor 3 for constantly detecting snow or iced snow accreted to the inner wall side of the rear wall part and a high pressure air blower 4 for forcibly removing snow or iced snow accreted to the inner wall side of the rear wall part.
