Summary:To provide a heat-insulating film member capable of suppressing damage to a heat-insulating film and suppressing an increase in cost for maintaining the heat-insulating performance of a heat-insulating layer.SOLUTION: At least one heat-insulating film member 7 is installed to an inner wall surface 61 of a cylinder liner 6 that accommodates a piston 5 slidably along an axial direction, in which the inner wall surface faces a combustion chamber 10 of an engine 1A. The heat-insulating film member comprises a base layer 8 that is configured to be detachably fitted into a recess 62 formed in the inner wall surface 61 of the cylinder liner 6, and a heat-insulating film layer 9 that is deposited on a surface of the base layer 8, which is on the opposite side from the inner wall surface 61 of the cylinder liner 6.
