To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of reducing deterioration in sensitivity due to the mounting of an acoustic coupler onto an ultrasonic probe.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an acquisition unit and a control unit. The acquisition unit acquires acoustic coupler information indicating a mounting state of the acoustic coupler onto an ultrasonic transmission/reception surface in an ultrasonic probe having the ultrasonic transmission/reception surface for transmitting an ultrasonic wave to a subject and receiving a reflection wave of the ultrasonic wave reflected by the subject.
