Summary:To provide a lever type connector which can be molded without an inner slide mold and in which a lever is not easily damaged.SOLUTION: A lever type connector 1 includes a connector housing 10 that is fitted to a mating connector 50, and a lever 20 that is assembled to the connector housing 10 and is rotatable from a fitting start position to a fitting completion position. The lever 20 has a cam plate portion 21, and a cam groove 24 with which a cam pin 52 provided on the mating connector 50 is engaged is formed in the cam plate portion 21 so as to penetrate through the cam plate portion 21. A reinforcing rib 25 is provided in the vicinity of an entrance 24A of the cam groove 24 which the cam pin 52 enters so that the reinforcing rib 25 covers the cam pin 52 and bridge the cam groove 24. The connector housing 10 includes a lever protection wall 16. The lever protection wall 16 is provided so as to protrude from both the side walls 13 of the connector housing 10 so as to abut against an outer edge portion 26 of the cam plate portion 21 located outside the cam groove 24 with respect to a turning shaft 15 when the lever 20 is located at the fitting start position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】内スライド金型を用いることなく成形可能で、レバーが破損しにくいレバー式コネクタを提供する。【解決手段】レバー式コネクタ1は、相手コネクタ50と嵌合されるコネクタハウジング10と、コネクタハウジング10に組み付けられ、嵌合開始位置から嵌合完了位置まで回動可能とされたレバー20と、を備えたレバー式コネクタ1であって、レバー20は、カム板部21を有し、カム板部21には、相手コネクタ50に設けられたカムピン52が係合するカム溝24が貫通形成され、カムピン52が進入するカム溝24の進入口24A近傍には、カムピン52を覆うとともにカム溝24を架橋するように補強リブ25が設けられ、コネクタハウジング10は、レバー保護壁16を備え、レバー保護壁16は、レバー20が嵌合開始位置にあるとき、回動軸15に対してカム溝24の外側に位置するカム板部21の外縁部26に当接するように、コネクタハウジング10の両側壁13から突出して設けられている。【選択図】図4
