To connect a processing apparatus and a terminal device of a user operating the processing apparatus through wireless communication more accurately compared to the case of ignoring distances between the processing apparatus and the terminal device before and after reception of operation from the user.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus measures a distance to a terminal device existing around the information processing apparatus many times in a first period of time before reception of user's operation and in a second period of time after the reception and, if the distance shows that the terminal device approaches in the first period of time and that the terminal device exists at close range in the second period of time, connects to the terminal device through wireless communication.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】処理装置を操作する利用者から、操作を受け付ける前と後の、該処理装置と端末装置との距離を考慮しない場合と比して、精度高く、該処理装置と利用者の端末装置との無線通信の接続を行う。【解決手段】情報処理装置は、利用者の操作を受け付ける前の第１期間及び操作を受け付けた後の第２期間において、自装置の周囲に存在する端末装置までの距離を複数回計測し、第１期間において端末装置が近付き、第２期間において端末装置が近接範囲内に居ることを距離が示す場合には、端末装置と無線通信の接続を行う。【選択図】図５
