A character string generation unit 105 generates a character string by editing the recognized voice character string and the recognized handwriting content according to the acquired information associated with the handwriting. The character string generation unit 105 generates a character string, specifically, having handwriting time that the information associated with the handwriting represents and the time when the recognized voice character string is vocalized arranged in time series.
