Summary: | To provide a liquid jet device configured so that a density difference between a going-passage and a returning-passage can be suppressed.SOLUTION: An inkjet-type recording device comprises: a recording head 1 having a nozzle for discharging ink droplets toward a recording sheet S formed therein and comprising a nozzle surface 20a to which the nozzle opens; a carriage mechanism that moves the recording head 1 in a going-passage direction parallel to the nozzle surface 20a and a returning-passage direction opposite to the going-passage direction; a platen 9 that supports the recording sheet S at a position opposing to the nozzle surface 20a; and an electric field control part 240 that controls a potential difference between the recording head 1 and the platen 9. The electric field control part 240 performs control so that the potential difference between the recording head 1 and the platen 9 in a first period of time during which ink droplets are discharged from the nozzle and then impact on the recording sheet S differs between when the recording head 1 is moving in the going-passage direction and when the recording head 1 is moving in the returning-passage direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
