Summary:To provide an image forming apparatus, an information processing method, and a program that can certainly determine the occurrence of an image defect during the acquisition of a correct answer image.SOLUTION: An inspection device inspects a sheet image conveyed in accordance with preset inspection items. The inspection is performed by comparing the sheet image conveyed with a preset correct answer image. The correct answer image is prepared in the inspection device. A CPU of the inspection device first acquires print settings (S501). Setting values to be acquired include the number of sheets per one copy, a surface to be inspected, and how many images are superimposed and leveled per one sheet to create the correct image. The CPU detects, from five correct answer image candidates, an image with a large difference as an exclusion candidate image (S511). The CPU generates a UI screen for inquiring if the detected exclusion candidate image is excluded and displays the screen on a display (S512).
