Summary: | To provide a catalytic reactor which has an excellent soot and dust deposition prevention function and in which a catalyst block with a catalyst unit assembled therein can be carried in, installed, removed and carried out in a short term of work, and to provide a catalyst block.SOLUTION: A catalytic reactor is provided which includes: a reactor duct; catalyst blocks made by assembling catalyst units 10 into a frame-shaped case 21; and first/second diversion members. Each of the plurality of catalyst blocks is supported by two beams and the catalyst blocks are arranged side by side within a reactor duct in such a manner that a front surface and a back surface of the frame-shaped case 21 are adjacent to and opposite to each other and a right lateral surface and a left lateral surface of the frame-shaped case 21 are adjacent to and opposite to each other, the frame-shaped case 21 includes a stopper member 22 and a spacer member 25, the first diversion member is attached in such a manner that first diversion member blocks between a front surface and a back surface of an adjacent catalyst and the second diversion member is attached in such a manner that the second diversion member blocks a gap between the right lateral surface and left lateral surface of the adjacent catalyst block.
