Summary:To improve easiness of listening for a listener of a broadcast voice by adaptively controlling volume of the broadcast voice outputted from a speaker while distinguishing from noise in the surroundings.SOLUTION: A volume control device is connected to a voice output system by which a signal of a broadcast voice from a broadcast voice source is amplified and outputted from a speaker. The volume control device comprises: a memory for storing correlation data indicating a correlation between volume of the broadcast voice and a noise value of noise observed in output of the signal of the broadcast voice; an acquisition part for acquiring the volume of the broadcast voice being broadcasted from the broadcast voice source at present and a signal level of audio signals collected at an observation spot at present; a noise volume estimation part for calculating a noise value of noise corresponding to the volume of the broadcast voice being broadcasted at present in the basis of the correlation data, and estimating a noise value of noise included in the signal level of the audio signals by using the calculated noise value; and an amplification factor calculation part for calculating an amplification factor of the volume of the broadcast voice being broadcasted at present by using the estimated noise value of noise.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】スピーカから出力される放送音声の音量を周囲の騒音と区別して適応的に制御し、放送音声の聴取者に対する聞き取り易さを向上する。【解決手段】音量制御装置は、放送音源からの放送音声の信号を増幅してスピーカから出力する音声出力系統に接続される。音量制御装置は、放送音声の音量とその放送音声の信号の出力時に観測される騒音の騒音値との相関関係を示す相関データを記憶するメモリと、放送音源から現在放送されている放送音声の音量と、観測地点において現在収音された音声信号の信号レベルとを取得する取得部と、相関データに基づいて、現在放送されている放送音声の音量に対応した騒音の騒音値を求め、その求められた騒音値を用いて、音声信号の信号レベルに含まれる騒音の騒音値を推定する騒音量推定部と、推定された騒音の騒音値を用いて、現在放送されている放送音声の音量の増幅率を算出する増幅率算出部と、を備える。【選択図】図１
