Summary:To provide a method of managing a redundant power source using a power over ethernet, and to provide a redundant power source device that supplies power.SOLUTION: A redundant power source device is electrically connected to a plurality of network instruments respectively through a plurality of twist pair cables, and sends first power and digital information to each network instrument. A method by the redundant power source device is configured to: first receive power demand information from each network instrument; acquire electric power each network instrument needs; when determining that second power originally supplied to each network instrument is suspended, output necessary each first power to each network instrument through a corresponding ethernet port; and when each first power is equivalent to the electric power required for each network instrument, and the redundant power source device receives power shut-off call information to be sent from the network instrument, stop an output of each first power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】パワー・オーバー・イーサネットを用いて冗長電源の管理を行う方法及びその冗長電源装置を提供する。【解決手段】冗長電源装置は、複数のツイストペアケーブルを通じて複数のネットワーク機器とそれぞれ電気的に接続され、第1電力及びデジタル情報を、各ネットワーク機器にそれぞれ送る。冗長電源装置による方法は、先ず各ネットワーク機器からの電力需要情報を受信して、各ネットワーク機器が必要とする電力パワーを取得し、各ネットワーク機器が元々受電していた第2電力が中断されたと判断すると、対応するイーサネットポートを通じて各ネットワーク機器へ必要な各第1電力を出力し、且つ、各第1電力が各ネットワーク機器に必要な電力パワーに相当し、かつ、冗長電源装置がネットワーク機器から送られる電源断要求情報を受信した場合には、各第1電力の出力を停止する。【選択図】図1
