Summary:To obtain a right corner and a left corner of a parked vehicle 3 with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A control unit 17 obtains a time required from a distance sensor 13 for transmitting an exploration wave to the distance sensor 13 for receiving a reflected wave; and the control unit calculates a reflection point Z (n) of a parked vehicle 3 for each reception of the reflected wave for this time based on a sensor transmission position, and a sensor reception position. The control unit 17 determines a center line 3c of the parked vehicle 3 based on an image of the parked vehicle 3 captured by an image sensor 11. The control unit 17 duplicates a reflection point that is line-symmetrical with the rightmost reflection point by inverting a rightmost reflection point (or a leftmost reflection point) to the left side in a vehicle width direction (or the right side in the vehicle width direction while the center line 3c is defined as an axis of symmetry. The control unit 17 uses this duplicate reflection point as a left corner portion (or a right corner portion) to determine dimensions of the parked vehicle 3 in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】駐車車両3の右側コーナー部と左側コーナー部とを高精度に求める。【解決手段】制御部17は、距離センサ13が探査波を送信してから距離センサ13が反射波を受信する迄に要する時間を求め、この時間、センサ送信位置、およびセンサ受信位置に基づいて、駐車車両3の反射点Z(n)を反射波の受信毎に算出する。制御部17は、画像センサ11で撮像される駐車車両3の画像に基づいて、駐車車両3の中心線3cを判別する。制御部17は、中心線3cを対称軸として最右側反射点(或いは、最左側反射点)を車両幅方向左側(或いは、車両幅方向右側)に反転させて最右側反射点と線対称となる反射点を複製する。制御部17は、この複製反射点を左側コーナー部(或いは、右側コーナー部)として、駐車車両3の車両幅方向寸法として求める。【選択図】図1
