To improve maintainability of each of a plurality of control devices that a system comprises.SOLUTION: A communication switching device comprises an external connection connector, a communication controller which controls communication with external equipment connected to the external connection controller, and first and second switching circuits. The first switching circuit has a first switch part which connects and disconnects a first communication port of a first control device and the communication controller, and a first short-circuit member connection connector part which attaches and detaches a first short-circuit member to short-circuit or open-circuit a circuit, and short-circuits and open-circuits the circuit to switch between a state of the first switch part and a state of a first mode setting port. The second switching circuit has a second switch part which connects and disconnects a second communication port of a second control device and the communication controller, and a second short-circuit member connection connector part which attaches and detaches the second short-circuit member to short-circuit or open-circuit the circuit, and short-circuits and open-circuits the circuit to switch between a state of the second switch part and a state of a second mode setting port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】複数の制御装置を備えるシステムにおいて、各制御装置のメンテナンス性をより向上させる。【解決手段】通信切替装置は、外部接続コネクタと、外部接続コネクタに接続された外部機器との通信を司る通信コントローラと、第１および第２切替回路とを備える。第１切替回路は、第１制御装置の第１通信ポートと通信コントローラとを継断する第１スイッチ部と、第１短絡部材の着脱により回路を短絡または開放する第１短絡部材接続コネクタ部とを有し、当該回路の短絡と開放とにより第１スイッチ部の状態と第１モード設定用ポートの状態とを切り替える。第２切替回路は、第２制御装置の第２通信ポートと通信コントローラとを継断する第２スイッチ部と、第２短絡部材の着脱により回路を短絡または開放する第２短絡部材接続コネクタ部とを有し、当該回路の短絡と開放とにより第２スイッチ部の状態と第２モード設定用ポートの状態とを切り替える。【選択図】図３
