Summary:To provide a configuration that changes, through minimal design, an image forming apparatus that transfers, to an intermediate transfer belt, images in Y, M, C, K colors formed by four image forming units for Y, M, C, K colors to an apparatus that forms images in two colors of C, K, and to prevent complication of the apparatus.SOLUTION: In a space 500 after removing image forming units for a Y color and an M color, housings 7 with the same configuration as a housing (one that accommodates a photoreceptor drum) having positioning parts that determine the positions of a primary transfer roller 24Y for the Y color and a primary transfer roller 24M for the M color that were included in the image forming units, are arranged as positioning members on the other side of the primary transfer rollers 24Y, 24M across an intermediate transfer belt 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】Ｙ、Ｍ、Ｃ、Ｋ色用の４個の作像部で作像されるＹ、Ｍ、Ｃ、Ｋ色の画像を中間転写ベルトに転写する画像形成装置を、Ｃ、Ｋの２色の画像を形成する装置にミニマルデザインする構成において装置の複雑化を防止すること。【解決手段】Ｙ色用とＭ色用の作像部を取り除いた後の空間５００に、その作像部に含まれていたＹ色用の一次転写ローラー２４ＹとＭ色用の一次転写ローラー２４Ｍを位置決めする位置決め部を有するハウジング（感光体ドラムを収容するもの）と同じ構成のハウジング７を位置決め部材として、中間転写ベルト２１を挟んで一次転写ローラー２４Ｙ、２４Ｍとは反対側に配置した。【選択図】図１
