To provide an imaging apparatus, in which a user can easily identify a subject that is intended to collect voices, in the imaging apparatus performing imaging while acquiring the voices.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (100) comprises: a display unit (130) that displays information; an imaging unit (115) that images a subject to generate image data; a voice acquisition unit (165) that acquires voice data indicating voices collected during imaging by the imaging unit; a detecting unit (122) that detects a subject region corresponding to the subject in the image data; and a controlling unit (135) that determines the subject being a collection target in a voice signal, and a main subject, according to the subject region detected by the detecting unit.
