Summary:To provide a continuously variable transmission which allows for reduction of a transmission loss of power at a minimum transmission gear ratio.SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission is provided, comprising; a first pulley having a first fixed sheave fixed to a first rotating shaft, and a first movable sheave integrally rotating with the first rotating shaft, and movable along the first rotating shaft; a second pulley having a second fixed sheave fixed to a second rotating shaft, and a second movable sheave integrally rotating with the second rotating shaft, and movable along the second rotating shaft; and a transmission belt wound around a belt-winding groove which is formed of opposing tapered surfaces of the first fixed sheave and the first movable sheave of the first pulley, and a belt-winding groove which is formed of opposing tapered surfaces of the second fixed sheave and the second movable sheave of the second pulley.
