Summary:To provide a floor post capable of improving the work efficiency of adjustment work for adjusting the height of a floor backing panel.SOLUTION: A floor post 1 is constituted so that a second column part 4 is movable in an axial direction with respect to a first column part 3 extending upward from a base 2 installed on a base surface 9. The floor post 1 is provided with an adjusting mechanism 5 for adjusting the axial position of the second column part 4 with respect to the first column part 3. The adjustment mechanism 5 includes an elastic part 7 and a fastening member 8. The elastic part 7 regulates the axial movement of the second column part 4 by an elastic deformation caused by an application of a pressing force.
