Summary:To provide a water treatment method capable of appropriately removing boron from boron-containing water up to effluent standard.SOLUTION: A water treatment method using boron-containing water as a treated water includes an aluminum addition process in which an aluminum-based coagulant is added to the treated water so that the molar ratio of aluminum ions to boron ions becomes 4.0 or more. After the aluminum addition process, it includes a boron coprecipitation process in which a sulfuric acid or sulfate salt is added so that the molar ratio of sulfate ions to boron ions becomes 15.0 or more, calcium salt is added so that the molar ratio of calcium ions to aluminum ions is 5.0 or more, and an alkaline agent is added so that the pH is 10 or more to coprecipitate boron.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ホウ素含有水からホウ素を排水基準まで適切に除去することができる水処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】ホウ素含有水を被処理水とする水処理方法であって、被処理水に、ホウ素イオンに対するアルミニウムイオンの存在モル比が4.0以上となるようにアルミニウム系凝集剤を添加するアルミニウム添加工程と、前記アルミニウム添加工程の後に、ホウ素イオンに対する硫酸イオンの存在モル比が15.0以上となるように硫酸または硫酸塩を添加するとともに、アルミニウムイオンに対するカルシウムイオンの存在モル比が5.0以上となるようにカルシウム塩を添加し、pHが10以上となるようにアルカリ剤を添加してホウ素を共沈させるホウ素共沈工程と、を備えている。【選択図】図1
