To provide a rubber-reinforcing cord that includes a polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fiber as a reinforcing fiber and achieves both of high tensile strength and high adhesive strength.SOLUTION: A rubber-reinforcing cord 12 according to the present invention is a rubber-reinforcing cord for reinforcing a rubber product 1 and includes at least one strand. The strand includes at least one filament bundle and a first film that is provided so as to cover at least a portion of the surface of the filament bundle. The filament bundle is substantially formed of polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fiber filaments. The first film contains a rubber component and a crosslinking agent.
