Summary:To provide an obstacle detection device for improving detection accuracy.SOLUTION: An obstacle detection device includes: ultrasonic sensors each of which is arranged in a part where a height from a road surface is at a predetermined position in the vehicle, so as to transmit a survey wave to an outer side of the vehicle, and where a plurality of ultrasonic elements for receiving a reflection wave of the survey wave against an obstacle as a reception wave are formed; and a control section for performing predetermined processing by deriving an obstacle distance being a distance to the obstacle and an obstacle height being a height of the obstacle based on the reception waves. When an obstacle distance and an obstacle height are derived, the control section derives the obstacle distance and the obstacle height based on intensity of the reception waves to be received by the plurality of ultrasonic elements and a phase difference of the reception waves to be received by the plurality of ultrasonic elements.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 【課題】検知精度の向上を図ることができる障害物検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両のうちの路面からの高さが所定位置となる部分に備えられ、車両の外側に向けて探査波を送信すると共に、探査波が障害物で反射した反射波を受信波として受信する複数の超音波素子が形成された超音波センサと、受信波に基づき、障害物までの距離である障害物距離および障害物の高さである障害物高さを導出して所定の処理を行う制御部と、を備える。そして、制御部は、障害物距離および障害物高さを導出する場合、複数の超音波素子が受信する受信波の強度、および複数の超音波素子が受信する受信波の位相差に基づいて障害物距離および障害物高さを導出する。【選択図】図13
